Tuesday, August 7th will see a Mac product release event at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters that is not “iPhone or iPod related” (thank goodness!). Like a true Mac geek, I enjoy all Apple product releases… Most likely are the new generation 20 and 24 inch iMacs, which have been buzzing around the web for weeks, see (new iMac keyboard?). AppleInsider also speculates a showing of iWork and iLife ‘08 (wishful thinking). It’s been a while since there’s been a significant Apple product announcement… let’s hope they come through.

I heard that the Simpsons pulled in 70 million dollars over the weekend. That is a huge opening for a cartoon. Blue has been watching the show since its first episode back in 1989. I appreciate the way it slams society and manages to stay fresh after so long. I saw the movie over the weekend, along with half of Denver. Bottom line is that if you love the T.V. show, you’ll love the movie. If you’re a moderate fan of the show, then you’ll like the movie but not on as many levels as a true fan. Another cool aspect of the movie is that it incorporates Alaska into the story line. Not only that, but it slams some things about Alaska that only a true Alaskan can appreciate. Since Blue loves the Simpsons, I’m going to give it five stars out of five.
